ColorAptitude™

Know what your people see.

ColorAptitude™ tests how your team perceives, judges and communicates colour — and makes the difference objectively measurable.

Your system can be perfect. Your assessment may not be.

You work with tolerances, instruments and colour standards. Yet assessment differences arise. Production approves, QC rejects. A supplier is within tolerance, but visually it doesn't match. Two assessors look at the same sample and reach different conclusions. The difference is often not in the material, but in the observer. That is exactly the problem ColorAptitude™ makes measurable.

Consequences in practice

Unnecessary rejection
Disputes without objective basis
Compliance risk in colour-critical processes

Where colour assessors make the difference

How it works

1

Start test

Screen calibration and setup of measurement conditions

2

Complete exercises

Ten assessment modules across discrimination, attribution and communication

3

Analysis

Automatic scoring across three competence layers: Discrimination, Attribution and Communication

4

Report + score

Personal colour profile, norm comparison and PDF certificate

Output and results

After completion you receive a detailed overview of your colour proficiency — useful for personal development and team qualification.

Score per dimension

Separate scores on lightness (L), chroma (C) and hue (H) in the OKLCH colour model — so you know exactly where you are strong and where improvement is possible.

Colour profile

A composite profile combining discrimination, attribution and communication into a clear overview.

Applicability

Score profile with concrete recommendations per dimension for your work situation.

Example of a report summary

You are a functional colour observer with analytically strong attribution and a workable colour vocabulary.

Scientific foundation

ColorAptitude™ is based on CIE colour models, perception research and standardised test methodologies including ASTM E1499-16 §5.3 and ISO/IEC 17025 Clause 6.2. The platform is a digital complement to instruments such as the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test — extended with attribution and communication modules missing from traditional tests.
